Based on the results of the integrated regional geological and geophysical studies conducted by VNIGNI in 2022–2024, the geological structure and petroleum potential of the Lower Maikopian deposits in the Benoisky–Chernogorsky area and adjacent territories have been updated. Interwell correlation of Paleogene deposits was carries out. The authors identify zones of greater thickness of sandy-silty reservoirs in the Miatlinsky, Nizhneglinisky, and Mutsidakalsky formations, which the intervals of lithologically screened and stratigraphic HC traps are associated with in fans and delta front deposits. Zones of Kahdumsky-foraminifera submarine-landslide paleoinvasions (olistostromes) occurring mainly in the Miatlinsky Fm are registered, which the intervals of lithologically screened, stratigraphic, and fault-bounded HC trap occurrence are associated. Resource assessment for the local HC objects is conducted in Dл Category. Recommendations on further geological exploration are proposed, namely: stratigraphic drilling and additional 3D CDP seismic surveys for detailed studies and mapping of structurally complicated HC traps of different types.
