The authors present the results of the analysis of initial recoverable oil reserve structure in accumulations of the Upper Tyumen member within the West Siberian Petroleum Province. Based on statistical processing of data on the dynamics of recoverable oil reserve growth in accumulations of the Yu2–Yu4 reservoir group, relationships were found that allow performing a multivariate prediction of ultimate recoverable discovered resources by 2050 and until 2100. If current trends in geological exploration persist, three scenarios for the identification of total initial recoverable resources can be envisaged: best case, realistic, and guaranteed. Under the first scenario, the volume of discovered resources may reach 5 bln tons by 2050 and 7 bln tons by 2100; under the realistic scenario – 4.8 and 5.6 bln tons; and under the conservative scenario – 4.6 and 4.9 billion tons, respectively. In addition, based on an analysis of accumulations distribution by reserve size (using a truncated Pareto distribution approximation), the total number of accumulations in different size classes and the corresponding oil resources were estimated. The most probable modal estimate of the remaining undiscovered recoverable oil resources in the Bathonian reservoir is 3.11 bln tons. At a confidence level of 0.9, this value exceeds 2.21 billion tons. The corresponding estimates of the initial recoverable resources are 7.06 and 6.16 billion tons, respectively. The mean estimate of the remaining recoverable oil resources is 3.61 bln tons, while the mean estimate of the initial recoverable resources is 7.65 bln tons. All estimates were obtained under the assumption that the recoverable reserves of the smallest considered accumulation are not less than 100 thousand tons. It is supposed that within the area of revealed oil occurrence in the Bathonian reservoir of the West Siberian Petroleum Province, the majority of the remaining undiscovered recoverable oil resources in the Yu2–Yu4 reservoir group belong to accumulations with recoverable reserves of no more than 3 mln tons.
