New geological and geophysical data were obtained in VNIGNI FSBI during the course of the State Assignment fulfilment under the “Regional seismic exploration within the Blagoveschensky depression and South Tatarsky arch” project, as well as summarising and analysis of the historic data from the Republic of Bashkortostan. These data made a basis for mapping the areas in the central zone of the Aktanysh-Chishminsky paleotrough, its inner and outer near-flank zones and slopes of the Tatarsky and Bashkirsky paleoarches having different architecture and stratigraphic interval of the Domanik-type deposit occurrence. The authors present the results of geochemical, petrophysical, lithological, and biostratigraphic core studies, as well as the data of advanced and standard well log suites. Petrophysical framework of well log data interpretation was created on the results of laboratory experiments and logging data; it is based on the derived core-core and core-log petrophysical relationships used in determining the Organic Carbon content. Intervals of the Domanik-type rock occurrence are identified in 49 well columns within the seismic survey area. There are methodological solutions and seismic facies analysis results presented, which are indicative of rich geological information content necessary to support the reliable integrated geological interpretation of seismic and well logging data. The studies conducted allowed substantiating the considerable resources in the Domanik play; their production may compensate for the decrease of oil amount produced from the conventional pools within the southern part of the Aktanysh-Chishminsky paleotrough.
