The seismic survey materials obtained in recent years significantly clarify the position of open deposits and promising objects in the structural plan of the sedimentary cover of the Karabash oil and gas prospective zone. The Zaozernaya-1 parametric well has become a source of new data that significantly supplemented the understanding of the oil and gas geological parameters of the Pre-Jurassic and Jurassic-Cretaceous sections of the southwestern territories of the West Siberian oil and gas province. A graben-shaped inversion-type incision with a reservoir in the Triassic rhyolite formation similar to the Rogozhnikovsky oil and gas field has been established in the area of the junction of the Zaozero protrusion and the Khanty-Mansiysk megafold. The section intervals with improved filtration and capacitance properties of permeable strata of the Jurassic oil and gas complexes have been determined. At the same time, the Ю10 and Ю11 strata are overlain by the regional Laidinsky (Radomsky) and Togursky fluid barriers with a high content of organic carbon. The reservoir of the Malyshevsky oil and gas complex (Ю2–4 formations) is characterized by the presence of reservoirs with reduced filtration and capacitance properties with their increase on positive structures due to fracturing and decompression of layers formed during uneven vertical movements of coastal and marine sediments in the history of their tectogenesis. Based on the detailed characteristics of reservoirs and fluid supports, their oil and gas source potential, and the history of tectonic-sedimentation development, the authors substantiate the high prospects for the discovery of oil deposits associated with tectonic elements that complicate the slopes of the contrasting interface of the Zaozero protrusion with adjacent negative structures in the activation zones (gradient zone) of plicative tectogenesis. The established distribution of oil and gas geological parameters implies more successful drilling in the instrument parts of the zones of articulation of positive and negative structures, in contrast to the existing fund of drilled structures in the dome part.
