Geoinformation support of planning and carrying out geological exploration work

The authors discuss the problems of systematised storage of data making the information basis for operations, design solutions, and results of geological exploration. Unified Databank of Oil and Gas Resources created in FGBU VNIGNI serves as the main core for consolidation of information resources of the institute in the course of planning, designing and implementation of geological exploration projects. The paper describes a novel technological scheme providing geoinformation support of works on current and future targets of regional geological exploration for oil and gas on the basis of the GIS INTEGRO software and technology complex and MGS-Framework multi-purpose geoinformation server (Russia). This methodology allows obtaning a complete digital package of geological and geophysical information completed with design documentation, report materials, and field dataset for each of exploration targets within the framework of the Unified Databank of Oil and Gas Resources.
